PS/SJ, UNODC Officials Meet
the Permanent Secretary/Secretary to Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana speaking at the meeting with officials from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC)

The Permanent Secretary/Secretary to Judiciary, Dr Pius Bigirimana on Tuesday July 5, 2022 held a meeting with officials from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC) led by Ms Sharon Lesa Nyambe the Head of Office Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice officer.

The meeting was geared towards entering a partnership with Judiciary to fund areas under Criminal Justice.

The UNODC is responsible for implementing international standards that promote access to justice specifically criminal justice.

UNODC wants to provide support to tackle challenges related to crime, justice services as well as corruption and terrorism.

In attendance is the Registrar High Court, HW Emokor Samuel, Deputy Registrar Planning and Development, HW John Paul Edoku and Senior Policy Analyst, Mr Caesar Kagoro, among others.
